Most pitches we receive are link-building requests rather than story ideas, so we want to be direct about what this page is and is not.
- All outbound links in contributed articles are
nofollow/ugc, without exception. This is not negotiable and we will not make an exception for your client. - We do not sell links, sponsored posts, or “collaborations”. We do not accept payment to publish an article, and we do not pay for guest articles either.
- We do not accept AI-generated drafts, spun content, or articles previously published elsewhere.
- We do not accept articles about casinos, betting, crypto, loans, essay writing, pharmacy or adult services. These pitches are deleted unread.

What we are looking for
- Analysis over news rewriting. We do not want a summary of something that broke yesterday. We want the read on why it matters.
- Box office explained. Nett vs gross, domestic vs worldwide, budget recovery, why a “₹100 crore” headline often means very little.
- Career and industry pieces. How an actor’s choices changed, why a genre is working now, how OTT commissioning is shifting.
- Deeply reported profiles of people we do not already cover well.
- South Indian cinema and its crossover into Hindi releases: an area we want to cover more seriously.
Look at our celebrity pages to see the depth and the confirmed/reported/rumoured discipline we expect, and read our Editorial Policy before pitching. Anything you write for us must meet that standard.
Standards
- 1,000–1,800 words, original, and not published anywhere else.
- Every factual claim sourced. Rumour must be labelled as rumour.
- No unverified claims about anyone’s private life, health or relationships.
- Images must be your own or carry a licence permitting commercial reuse, with the licence named. We cannot publish photographs you found through a search engine.
- We edit for accuracy, house style and length, and we may decline a piece after reading the draft.
How to pitch
Email bollywoodlifegossip@gmail.com with the subject line PITCH and include:
- Two or three sentences on the story and the angle. Not a topic, an argument.
- Why you are the person to write it.
- Two links to things you have written before.
Please do not send a finished article on spec, and please do not follow up more than once. We read everything and reply to the pitches we want to commission, usually within two weeks.
